What a certificate and NFC tag establish

A Markmy certificate records the artist’s declaration and the artwork details they supply. Creators can share digital certificates as public links or QR codes, or download them as PDFs, without buying an NFC tag. Without an account, anyone can create a certificate of authenticity with the free template and download it as a PDF; that PDF has no verification page. Markmy does not independently authenticate each physical object, appraise its value or establish legal ownership.

An optional Markmy NFC tag opens its linked certificate when read with a compatible phone. Linking a tag to a certificate is a permanent association. The tag provides a link to the record; the link alone does not prove authenticity or ownership. Recorded scan activity is not GPS tracking of the artwork.

Name and product scope

Use Markmy for the product and markmy.art for its website. Proofmark and proofmark.art refer to the former brand. Existing accounts, artwork records, certificates, QR codes and NFC tags continue with the current name; historical links remain supported.

Markmy is an independently operated service based in London, United Kingdom. It provides artist profiles, artwork records and digital certificates for physical art. It is not a blockchain product or an artwork marketplace. The Markmy shop sells optional NFC hardware and certificate materials.
