FAQ

Markmy for art professionals, explained

Do my artists need their own Markmy accounts?

No. Add an artist with just their name. You manage their profile, catalogue and certificates from your professional account; they don’t need an email address or a login.

Whose name appears on the certificates?

The artist’s. Certificates of authenticity are always issued in the name of the artist who made the work, never in your own profile.

Is it free?

Yes. Managing artists, catalogues, profiles and certificates is free. Only optional NFC tags are paid.

Can I import an existing catalogue?

Yes. Import artworks from Shopify, Big Cartel, Wix, Squarespace and other supported platforms, then review them before they are added to the artist’s catalogue. If your catalogue is in a spreadsheet or another system, contact us and we’ll help you set it up.

Are artist pages public straight away?

No. Each artist’s page stays a draft until you publish it. Certificates work whether or not the artist’s page is published.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Exports include every catalogue you manage, with each record attributed to its artist.
